Working Lunch Series highlights the Rosenberg Police Department Crime Prevention Unit

Did you know that the Rosenberg Police Department provides public education, campaigns and other community programs and resources to help prevent crime in the community? Through cooperative efforts and community partnerships between the people and their police, it is believed that a community can be made safer.

Come meet with Lt. Chad Pino of the Rosenberg Police Department Crime Prevention Unit at the Central Fort Bend Chamber’s Working Lunch Series on Business Safety & Crime Prevention and learn how to better protect yourself, your employees and your business against criminal activity.  The luncheon will be held at the Fort Bend Country Club on March 31st from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

This is your chance to ask a Police Officer about your specific issue and receive one-on-one interaction.

Crime prevention means taking proactive measures and actions to anticipate, recognize, and appraise crime risk in order to remove or reduce crimes. During the luncheon, Lt. Pino will discuss ways to avoid being a target for criminal activity and increase awareness and community safety through cooperative efforts and police/community partnerships.

There are several ways to participate in proactive crime prevention – enabling small businesses to create a safer environment for their employees and customers.

The Rosenberg Police Department is scheduled to introduce its newest program “Community-Oriented Policing Services (COPS)”. It is based on the premise that both the police and the community must work together to identify, prioritize, and solve problems for crime, fear of crime, and overall neighborhood decay.

The Working Lunch Series is $25 – the cost of lunch. To register for the upcoming luncheon with the Rosenberg Police Department at the Chamber’s Working Lunch Series, go to www.cfbca.org/events or contact Debbie Kilen at 281-342-5464.
