The Central Fort Bend Chamber is proud to host a wide variety of annual events and programs that relate back to at least one aspect of our mission to cultivate community connections, advocate for business and facilitate growth. All CFBC events have an array of sponsorship opportunities that aim to align with the marketing goals of our Chamber Members.

By sponsoring CFBC programs and events, you directly help enhance programs provided by the Chamber that further benefit your business in addition to your fellow Chamber and Community Members.

Central Fort Bend Chamber Annual Events and Programs Include:

Breakfast in the Bend is the Chamber's monthly networking opportunity for members to promote the success and growth of their business. Breakfast in the Bend is held on the first Tuesday of each month at a member's location and highlights area non-profits and city/county entities.

 

Coffee & Convos is a FREE Monthly Networking Event for all businesses to come grab a coffee and make some new connections!

 

Our Cornhole & A Cookout event is held outdoors in the spring by our Leadership Fort Bend Alumni. The purpose of the event is to raise money for Leadership Fort Bend program scholarships for a small business or non-profit organization.

 

CTE Leadership Academy's mission is to bring together Lamar Career and Technical Education (CTE) Students (Manufacturing, Industrial, Construction & Engineering), high education institutions and local industry to build our future workforce in Fort Bend County. This award-winning, 6-month program includes tours of local colleges, manufacturing companies, and distribution centers.  The students also receive job soft skills training.

 

Our Future of Education and Workforce Luncheon features a speaker and/or panelists that discuss building the future workforce of Fort Bend County. The event also highlights the new CTE Leadership Academy class.

 

As one of our most popular events, the annual Golf Classic is a highly visible event that offers participants an opportunity to showcase their business to the Fort Bend community while enjoying a fun-filled day of golf and networking with over 150 business owners and corporate executives.

 

Health & Wellness Day is an event showcasing our health and/or wellness businesses to high school students in the CTE Health Science pathways in an effort to build our future healthcare workforce.

 

The Fort Bend Infrastructure Conference targets engineers, developers, public officials and professionals who hold a stake in the condition of our local infrastructure. The conference consists of speakers and panelists with comprehensive and timely information about infrastructure, mobility, drainage and other issues affecting our region.

 

The Governmental Affairs Division advocates for Chamber members by engaging with municipal, county, state, and federal legislators to support policies that benefit local businesses and enhance quality of life in Central Fort Bend County. The Infrastructure Division serves as the Chamber’s voice on transportation and infrastructure issues, bringing together business leaders across sectors—mobility, energy, water, housing—to guide community planning, legislative priorities, and development that drive economic growth and a vibrant, business-friendly community.

 

HobNob in the Bend is a unique networking opportunity that brings together business leaders, political figures, and community members from Fort Bend County and across Texas. Designed to foster connections and strengthen the business climate, the event also introduces attendees to local, state, and federal candidates, allowing for direct engagement and meaningful conversations about upcoming elections. HobNob is both a celebration of democracy and a chance to become a more informed voter, offering valuable insights into the political landscape while encouraging civic engagement and community building.

 

Leadership Fort Bend is a comprehensive leadership development program designed to identify resources and educate individuals to assume leadership roles within the community.  Because the quality of a community depends on the capacity of its leaders, graduates emerge as potential community leaders and individuals who seek to contribute their particular skills, knowledge and expertise for the betterment of Fort Bend County. Participants attend nine monthly leadership sessions focused on a variety of topics centered on the backbone and structure of what makes Fort Bend County a unique and impactful place to live and work.

 

Lemonade Day is a youth entrepreneurial and experiential program infused with life skills, character development, financial and business literacy, career exploration and mentorship.

 

Maximize Your Membership is an opportunity to meet Chamber board members, staff, ambassadors and other Chamber members. Additionally, you will learn about the Chamber programs, the membership online portal and how to make your Chamber membership work for you. Maximize Your Membership is held quarterly at the Chamber Office.

 

Manufacturing & Technology Day is an event showcasing our manufacturing and technology businesses to high school students in the related CTE pathways in an effort to build our future workforce. This event is designed to expand knowledge about manufacturing, construction, and industrial careers and manufacturing's value to the US economy.

 

The Non-Profit Expo is a vibrant and inspiring gathering of mission-driven organizations dedicated to creating positive change in the Fort Bend community. Designed to foster connections and collaboration, the expo offers attendees the opportunity to engage directly with a diverse range of non-profits representing a multitude of causes. Guests can explore impactful programs, meet the people behind the missions, and discover meaningful ways to get involved—whether through volunteering, donating, or forming partnerships. Ideal for individuals looking to make a difference, the Non-Profit Expo serves as a powerful platform for awareness, advocacy, and community building.

 

The One Table Community Dinner is set beneath the moon and stars on Morton Street in Downtown Richmond. The dinner is the stage for bringing the community together, along with Richmond's elected officials, for an evening to celebrate the community with a delicious meal provided by area restaurateurs.

 

Ribbon Cuttings are offered to our new members in the Chamber. Our Ribbon Cuttings provide our businesses a time to shine in the community, while being welcomed by our board, staff, Ambassadors team, volunteers and other members of the Chamber.

 

The Salute to Business Celebration, held in November, is full of fun, socializing and celebration as the Chamber recognizes businesses and individuals that make Fort Bend County a great place to live, work and enjoy! The Chamber will conduct its brief annual meeting and present the Annual Awards. You don't want to miss this opportunity to network and connect with over 125 members of the local business community at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land.

 

The State of Development & Emerging Cities breakfast event, a dynamic gathering of community leaders, developers, and local officials focused on the rapid growth and transformation within west Fort Bend County. This informative session will feature panel discussions with residential and commercial developers alongside mayors from emerging cities such as Needville, Thompsons, and the Village of Fairchilds, providing exclusive insights into new projects, development trends, and the future economic landscape of the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue, network with key stakeholders, and gain a deeper understanding of how these emerging communities are shaping the county’s growth and business opportunities.

 

State of the City - Richmond provides the Mayor of Richmond a forum to present the State of the City to the community.  The State of the City event focuses on updating the local community with city initiatives and the local business climate while highlighting the city’s progress in economic development and presenting an “annual report.” Attendance is approximately 300 and includes Richmond City officials and employees, business owners, c-suite executives, junior-senior level management, and others focused on the growth in Richmond.

 

The State of Small Business event is a special breakfast gathering designed to provide valuable insights from small business experts on how to grow, manage, and future-proof your business. Attendees will hear directly from the Small Business Administration and other key industry partners dedicated to supporting small businesses in Fort Bend County. This event offers an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages to gain practical knowledge and connect with resources that can help their businesses thrive in the local economy.

 

The Sporting Clay Shoot Tournament was created to provide a safe outdoor environment for our members to network with over 100 business owners, build business connections and have fun.

 

The new Women in Business Luncheon designed to empower, connect, and inspire women professionals and entrepreneurs in the community. This engaging event will feature a catered lunch alongside insightful discussions and a panel of accomplished local women leaders who will share their experiences, strategies for success, and pathways for growth in various industries. Attendees will have valuable networking opportunities to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas, and gain motivation to advance their careers and businesses. Whether you are a seasoned executive or emerging entrepreneur, this luncheon promises to foster a supportive environment that celebrates innovation, leadership, and the unique contributions of women in business.
